Seville hosts the 6th Steering Committee of the Interreg-MD.net project
On February 4 and 5, Prodeca and the other partners of the MD.net project met in Seville with the aim of taking stock of the work done in the first two years of the project and working on the implementation of their future actions.
During the meeting, management and administration issues were discussed, but each of the regional communication plans was also presented with the idea of strengthening their coordination and thus achieving a greater impact.
Among the objectives of the meeting was to specify the implementation of the tasks described for the last two years of the project. These are; Test and validate positive project outcomes and transfer knowledge to local stakeholders and public opinion. In this sense, the partners were able to share their ideas on how to promote the values of the Mediterranean diet at a regional level and work on the idea of creating a Community of the Mediterranean diet that brings together actors from both the public and private sectors.
On the last day, the partners participated in the pilot test of a gastronomic tourism route through the streets of the city of Seville. An itinerary that passes through places that are little exploited by tourists and visits establishments that preserve the traditions and scenery typical of Mediterranean culture.
The meeting ended with a tasting of local products in a laid-back and relaxed atmosphere that wanted to emulate the essence of the Mediterranean lifestyle and offer members the opportunity to enjoy the basic values of MD.net.
