The organic food segment is growing and the fairs that promote it are becoming more and more numerous. In the same way, non-professional activities aimed at bringing organic food to the general public are also growing.

More than 350 agri-food companies and sector agents participate in the 1st Forum #CatalanFood, a sector event organized by Prodeca. Under the title "From volume to value", the day had product positioning as the thematic axis.

The first Catalan Food Business Forum connected 80 Catalan companies with 120 importers and distributors from around the world, generating over 3,500 B2B meetings.

France is a strategic market for Catalonia; it is the largest European buyer of Catalan agri-food products. In 2022, it imported 16.73% of the total international exports. The Catalan representation in Paris has recently consolidated its importance with the inauguration of the Plaça de la Catalogne in the 14th district. This green space, featuring over 470 trees, has made it the first urban forest in Paris, previously designed by the architect Ricardo Bofill.
