Prodeca – a public company of the Ministry of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Government of Catalonia - organizes a gastronomic exhibition in the centre of Tokyo as part of the marketing actions in the Asian market, with the aim of positioning Catalonia and the Catalan agri-food products that are present in the Japanese market.
DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT
The Catalan food street show will be held on November 22nd and 23rd (being November 23rd a public holiday in Tokyo, so more people than usual are expected than on a working day), in a central point of the Shibuya district, and it is expected to receive about 1,500-2,000 visitors during the two days.
The organization of the gastronomic show is planned with a welcome point, where a "welcome pack" will be delivered which will include a catalogue with information on the participating Catalan companies and products, and tickets for consumption. There will also be a tasting area of Catalan wine paired with tapas made by the prestigious chef from Lleida, Josep Barahona, who has lived in Japan for more than 30 years.
Finally, a bar area will be set up to be able to have drinks and a shop where those attending the exhibition can buy Catalan products, as well as a photo corner with thematic audio-visual material of Catalonia.
TO WHOM IT IS ADDRESSED
Companies that have representation and products present in the Japanese market can participate in this action, aimed at the professional audience and, above all, at the end audience.
To do so, we would appreciate it if you filled out the registration form, indicating which product you are selling in Japan and to which importer before next Friday, October 20th
The organization of the event will make a selection of the companies that will finally be able to participate, based on criteria of demand and product suitability.
PARTICIPATION COST
- Prodeca is responsible for the costs of organizing this promotional activity and there are no costs for the participating companies.
Once the company is selected to participate, it will be one of the main Japanese importers who will buy the chosen products, so it is essential that the products are already in Japan.
