Prodeca organises second stakeholders meeting for European project Eurega

Today, 20 November, was the second meeting of the Stakeholder Platform of the European Project Eurega, part of the INTERREG programme https://www.interregeurope.eu/. Prodeca is a partner of this project, which started in June 2018 and will run for four years.  

The main aim is to work towards objective 6.3.1 of the ERDF Catalonia 2014-2020 Operational Programme, adding a new scope: mainstreaming food and gastronomy heritage as a dimension that must be promoted, protected and developed.

Held at Prodeca's main office, the meeting was split into five tables specialising in each of the five areas addressed by the project: gastronomy and: education, health, the rural/urban link, sustainable tourism, and support for SMEs.

Twenty-two professionals from a range of fields provided their input on the various issues that the project entails to define a SWOT analysis and begin outlining a work plan.

Prodeca participates in a number of European projects linked to gastronomy and food as well as business competitiveness in European regions. This allows us to link up with other European bodies, institutions, universities, public administrations, associations, local and national companies and, more broadly, opinion leaders, who contribute to decision-making on European policies. It is also an excellent opportunity to share knowledge with partners from other European countries with a view to boosting competitiveness among Catalan agri-food companies.
